PME commenced operations in the year 1988 as a transformer manufacturing company catering primarily to Power utilities in the country. Over the years the Company has developed capabilities and experience in designing and manufacturing a range of power and distribution transformers. Currently we have the capabilities of manufacturing transformers up to 330 KV class.

Our transformers are designed for a range of applications in generation transmission and distribution of electrical energy besides being used for industrial applications power plants mining projects and arc furnaces. The range of transformers that we have manufactured and supplied to our customers include oil filled distribution and power transformers with copper/aluminum windings hermetically sealed type oil filled distribution transformers auto transformers booster transformers foil wound transformers arc furnace transformers step up generator transformers thyristor duty transformers and pole mounted transformers. Our transformers have passed tests from Government of India's accredited laboratory for our domestic sales and at Centro ElettrotecnicoSperimentaleItalianoGiacinto Motta spa(CESI) Italy in conformity with the IEC - 60076 standards for our export sales.

With a view to enhance our product portfolio and manufacturing facilities we have entered into a tri-partite agreement with Metglas Inc. U.S.A. and Hitachi Metals India Private Limited for the transfer of technology for manufacturing of Amorphous Metal Distribution Transformers. The aforesaid agreement allow our Company to manufacture Energy efficient Amorphous Metal Distribution Transformers ('AMDT') using the technological knowhow of Metglas Inc. U.S.A. and Hitachi Metals India Private Limited under License.

Further leveraging on our transformer designing and manufacturing capabilities our Company has undertaken Engineering Procurement and Construction ('EPC') projects relating to construction of substations for transmission and distribution of electric power and erection and commissioning of transmission and distribution lines. In such power sector EPC projects besides supplying transformers we also typically undertake designing procurement erection testing and commissioning of sub-stations along with operation and maintenance of such substations on a turn-key basis and erection and commissioning of transmission and distribution lines for setting up transmission and distribution electricity networks up to 400KV class.

Our Company has over 25 years of experience in catering to various products/services & projects to various countries which includes Zimbabwe Zambia Mauritius Dubai Iraq Kenya Sri Lanka Mozambique Ghana Nigeria Republic of South Africa Abu Dhabi Nepal Cambodia Oman Democratic Republic of Congo etc. and has established a strong foot-hold in African Market besides various Power utilities and Private players in India.
